Tarot Card of the Day: July 8, 2010

Inspired by so many others that I’m not even going to list them, I decided to pull a Tarot Card of the Day this morning and see how it plays out. I used the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight, which I fall in love with even more every time I use it. I shuffled a few times until I felt like I was done, because I’m trying to learn to use my intuition when I read cards instead of always looking at the LWB first, and drew the 8 of Pentacles.

Initial thoughts: Girl sitting, chilling. Facing left, looking at something not in the card. Some pentacles growing like flowers, some on the ground (one almost looks like it’s growing underground, like a potato). Monkey sits next to her on right, but she can’t see b/c looking the other way.
LWB: …Doing the same thing over and over again can be boring. So, to avoid stagnation, try something new.
Second thoughts: Mark is in the hospital again and I’m going to visit him tonight. I’ll bring a game to play.

Edited later to add: The Universe has a sense of humor today! I brought the discs for Friends Scene-It to the hospital, and we had fun. He said it was a nice way to just relax together, which we both need after what’s been going on lately. (He needs two more surgical procedures in the next few weeks.) But I also saw this card play out in another way. In one clip we watched, Ross was talking about Marcel… his pet MONKEY. And then Mark said, “We should get a monkey.” And I said, “No, we don’t need a monkey.” I’m like the girl in the card, not even entertaining the notion of the monkey. LOVE IT!!!
