The other day my husband and I were watching Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and he said that he likes Eleanor for a little girl, even though it’s a bit old-fashioned. I think it would be pretty perfect, actually, since the other little girl name we like is Charlotte, and that’s also a bit old-fashioned. But we could use cute modern nicknames like Ele, Ellie, or Ella… Or ooh, I just thought of one: Ele-Bell! That’s so cute!

So now I am looking for the perfect middle name to go with Eleanor. I was thinking Eleanor Rose sounds nice, but just realized the Eleanor Roosevelt sound-alike so I might have to veto myself. Eleanor Anne is really pretty too. I’m thinking with a long first name, the middle name should be short.

Need to get hubby’s thoughts.
