I know my clean-up sucks. Practice makes perfect, and I need a LOT of practice. Actually, I need practice with putting polish on to begin with too. I don’t know why, but I didn’t paint my finger nails a lot as a kid. I did my toes a lot because it was easier to not mess up.

All of that said, I really like this manicure! This is only the second China Glaze polish I’ve used, and there seems to be a learning curve because the formula is different from other polishes. I’m trying to get the hang of it. I did three coats. I love the color, though. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m a sucker for a great hot pink. This color would look awesome on my toes.

The index and ring fingers have 2 coats of glitter. The others have nail stickers, starting with a big flower on the thumb, through the small flower on the middle finger, and the pinky is just a few petals. The smaller stickers are fine, but the flowers on my thumbs are coming up a bit on the edges, and I don’t know if that’s my fault or just that it’s a toy and meant for kids. I’ll say it’s because it’s a toy because I’m already hating on my basic skills, lol.

Base color: China Glaze Shocking Pink (Neon)
Accent color: OPI I Lily Love You
Nail stickers: a child’s pedicure kit toy I got at Barnes & Noble (mainly because I wanted the inflatable foot bath)
Top coat: Seche Vite

  1. Hi! Good luck on your blog. I can relate to you, it was the same for me, I didn't really use polish much as a kid either, but now I am really getting into it. I was inspired by all the pretty nail art I saw, and so I got addicted, lol. I have been trying out a couple basic things, but I have no skills, no tools, and a small budget for polishes. I have some basic tools coming, and stretching my budget for better polishes, so now I just need to work on my skills. 🙂 I'll keep practicing. There's a lot of good tutorials out there and lots of nice polish addicts to cheer you on, lol. In the meantime, keep up the good work and show me some of those pretty pinks! (I love all colors, but pinks my fav, too!)(sorry for such a long comment, I am usually shy, but I guess I wanted to show my support.)
