Holo from my mother’s small stash

I was spending the weekend at my parents’ house and took the opportunity to borrow from her very small polish stash… because she has two Sally Hansen Nail Prism colors, which are among the first holographic polishes I know about! She has had them for years, and I think I had one myself at one point and can’t believe I didn’t appreciate it in its time.

I did my nails in Ruby Diamond, and it’s a beautiful color. There is tip wear because it’s been a few days, and my index finger is just completely messed up, but whatever. It’s gorgeous and worth showing anyway. I did a little nail art with just a little nail striper, a diagonal line across each nail. Not the most obvious color, and next time I want to use it in a way that shows it off better.

Photos taken in sun.

What I love is that even with a topcoat, the holo is still very visible.

Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy, original
Polish: Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Ruby Diamond
Nail Art: Stripe Rite striping polish, Gold Metallic
Top Coat: Seche Vite

And just a reminder that there are just a few more days to enter my Halloween giveaway. There are less than 49 entries at the moment I’m posting, so you have a really good chance of winning!
