Blog Spotlight: Jen’s Wonderland

I haven’t done a blog spotlight in a while. Jen from Jen’s Wonderland made up a questionnaire to ask polish lovers and has been posting the responses on her blog. Here’s the post with my answers. Beside the fact that she posted my responses, I love Jen’s blog because she has short nails like me. Long nails are pretty, unless they are scary long, but I get jealous of girls who can keep their nails long. Plus she’s in a nail polish group I’m in on Facebook, and I love to post about my friends. ๐Ÿ™‚ Here is a photo of Jen from her Facebook page.

Yeah, my friends are gorgeous. You’re totally jealous of me aren’t you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Massive nail mail haul from Traci!

Traci from The TraceFace Philes recently had a huge dusty hunt… well, she called it a robbery. I’ll just call it a success. If you see on her blog, in the picture there are acrylic paints in the bottom left corner. She sent me all of those for a VERY reasonable price. Plus when she posted the polishes on her blog sale, I bought a bunch. Then I traded some jewelry to someone and in exchange this person bought me some more of Traci’s polish. I didn’t take a photo of the paint, but here’s all the polish that arrived this morning! (Click image to enlarge.)

Top row: OPI I’ve “Red” The Script, OPI Orange You From New York?, OPI Passion For NY Fashion, OPI Hollywood & Wine, OPI Charged Up Cherry, OPI All Rose Lead To Rome, OPI Not So Bora-Bora-Ing Pink, OPI That’s Berry Daring, OPI Changing of the Garnet, OPI Didgeridoo Your Nails?, OPI Calgary Stampede, OPI Berry Berry Broadway, OPI Berry Good Dancers

Bottom row: OPI Thoroughly Modern Millie, China Glaze Awaken, China Glaze Light My Tiki, China Glaze Coconut Kiss, China Glaze Burnt Buns, China Glaze Make An Entrance, China Glaze Devotion, China Glaze Sun Showers, China Glaze Raspberry Festival, China Glaze Strawberry Fields, China Glaze Broken Hearted, Nina Ultra Pro Silver Slipper, Nina Ultra Pro Cherri Ice

For those of you wondering, YES I am in New York, which is why I bought Orange You From New York? — normally I’m not all that into orange, but this one is kinda dark so it’s worth a shot. So many fun new pinks to try out! At some point I will probably have to go sort through my polish looking for dupes and sell some, but gosh, it’s fun to collect! ๐Ÿ™‚

Pink Wednesday: January 25, 2012 – Nina Ultra Pro Pretti Pink, China Glaze Blonde Bombshell

This shade of pink is called Pretti Pink — the shelf said Pretty Pink, but the bottle is spelled with an I. Weird, but it’s a really nice color. One coat was good but a little thin, a second coat is perfect coverage. Kind of metallic with a hint of shimmer too. I have to admit – I bought this because at first glance I thought it said Pretty In Pink, which actually would be awesome to go with my blog theme. ๐Ÿ™‚ I wasn’t going to get this, but the color drew my attention in the store.

Base coat: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
Color: Nina Ultra Pro Pretti Pink (yes, it’s spelled like that in the bottle; the shelf at Sally Beauty Supply was labeled as Pretty Pink)
Accent nail: China Glaze Blonde Bombshell
Top coat: Seche Vite
